Ice coffee

Heeeeeeej! Fan va gott det är med iskaffe. Och så lätt att göra!! Gör en sockerlag, låt svalna – mitt tips är att göra typ 1 liter å låta stå hemma så man alltid har kall sockerlag tillgänglig, det blir inte gammalt liksom. Brygg kaffe och låt svalna i frysen ett tag, häll upp i en burk eller annan behållare som går att försluta, häll i lite mjölk, fyll med is och skaka hårt. Klart! Drick! Njut!

Ice coffee:
150 ml coffee
50 ml milk (high fat preferably)
20 ml sugar syrup
✴︎ hard shake on ice

Heeeeeeey! How good is ice coffee hey?! And super easy to make!! Make a suger syrup – my tip is to make like 1 liter and save so you always have access to cold sugar syrup, it doesn’t get old so. Brew coffee and cool it in the freezer for a little while, pour it into a jar or some kind of container with a lid, add some milk, fill with ice and shake hard. Done! Drink! Enjoy!

New piece of furniture


Jag köpte en bar-vagn på eBay i veckan. Igår när jag kom hem från jobbet igår och la mig i sängen tog jag en liten sneak peak bild på den. Jag ska snart ha inflyttningskalas här och då ska jag inviga den :) Hon e en sån skönhet!

 

DSC_0011I bought a bar-wagon at eBay last week. Last night when I got home from work I lay in bed and took a sneak peak pic on it. Soon I’ll have a housewarming party and inaugurate it :) She’s such a beauty!

Bartenders rendezvous at Our/Berlin

I förrgår möttes vi några bartenders som blivit inbjudna till Our/Berlin by Our Vodka på deras destilleri i Treptow. Vi möttes och snackade om allt från drinktrender till favorit sprit och testade lite olika kombinationer på drinkar med deras vodka och massa frukter, bär och örter.

Jag gjorde några varianter och den jag blev mest nöjd med, den gröna med Matcha te-infuserad vodka, kallar jag

Matchatox
40 ml Our/Berlin Vodka – Matcha tea infusion
30 ml fresh lemon juice
10 ml honey
10 ml sugar syrup
✴︎ muddle fresh ginger, mint and woodruff (myskmadra in Swedish)
✴︎ fill with ice and hard shake
✴︎ double strain and serve in a glass without ice
✴︎ garnish with woodruff

Vi fick varsin goodie bag också. Så gulligt. Med två shot-glas och ett te infusion kit. Jag valde ett med vitt te som jag ska infusera ikväll tänkte jag, genom att bara addera teet i den lilla påsen som man får med, peta ner den i vodkaflaska, korka igen med plastkorken man får med och låta stå över natten. Imorn smakar jag resultatet och berättar vad jag tycker om det :)

A visit to the distillery

On Tuesday night some bartenders got invited to a rendezvous at Our/Berlin by Our Vodka at their distillery in Treptow. We met and talked about everything from cocktail trends to favourite spirits. We also had a little vodka tasting and tested different combinations of cocktails with their vodka and lots of fruit, berries and herbs.

I made a few varieties and the one I was most happy with, a green one with Matcha infused vodka, I call Matchatox. (Please find the recipe above)

We all got a little goodie bag too. So cute. It contained two shot glasses and a tea infusion kit. I picked the white tea one, that I’ll infuse tonight by just adding the tea into the little bag that’s provided and put it in the bottle of vodka, seal with the plastic cap and let sit over the night. Tomorrow I’ll see the result and I’ll give you a little review :)

Sneak peak of BROWN

Here’s a little sneak peak of the production process of BROWN tonic syrup. I went with Pär and Joe to learn more about this fantastic product. Next week on Monday I’ll go with them again, when the batch has set for 5 days and is ready for bottling!
